Carnatic Classes

Saturday 14th March 2026 - Sunday 15th March 2026

Venue: Delrow Community Hall, Hilfield Lane, Watford WD25 8DJ

Most classes are for children up to the age of 18. There are Open classes for adults and children aged 16+

Please use the guidelines provided when selecting pieces for the performances.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST CREATE A USER ACCOUNT AT LEAST 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE CLOSING DATE.

  • Beginners:  Compositions: - Geetham or Jathi Swaram or Swarajathi
  • Intermediate: Compositions: - Varnams in 2 speeds or Keerthanas with brief Ragam but without Neraval and Swara Prastharam. The Neraval and Swara Prastharam, if performed, won’t be considered for any award
  • Advanced: Compositions: - Chowka Kala Keerthanas are preferred but are not mandatory. Keerthana with Ragam, Neraval and Swara Prastharam
  • Open Solo - Ragam, Thanam, Pallavi  - Non-competitive Class
  • F1-11, F13-F23:  Certificate/Medal/Trophy for the winner who comes first in that section
  • F12, F24, F53 - F56: Adjudicator comments sheet only
  • F50-F52: Certificate and Medal

  • Participants can only enter one entry from F1 to F12

F5 VOCAL Intermediate Age 8 and under 10 mins £21.00
F6 VOCAL Intermediate Age 9 to 11 Years 10 mins £21.00
F7 VOCAL Intermediate Age 12 to 15 Years 10 mins £21.00
F8 VOCAL Intermediate Age 16 plus 10 mins £21.00
F9 VOCAL Advanced Age 9 to 11 Years 15 mins £26.00

F52 Duet - Advanced - String instrument and/or Vocal 15 mins £29.00

Ensemble classes

Participants can only enter one entry from F53 to 55

For F53-F55 , It's a group entry and Please give us only the group name.

Please time your performance carefully and make sure you do not exceed the time limit. When there is a time limit specified your performance will be judged only to that point and may be terminated.
